Joslin Diabetes Center

JOSLIN DIABETES CENTER … is following me on TWITTER????

Below is their twitter logo ….

After being blocked from Joslin’s Facebook and Twitter accounts… I’m surprised they would ‘follow me’ on Twitter.

Why was I blocked?

In Summary… Joslin is an ADA Minion of the worst sort…..and I’ve written posts pronouncing them as such.

Why do I have so much ‘disdain’ for a group that claims to be the ”preeminent diabetes research and clinical care organization”?

Here are related posts… I urge you to read these.  If you have read them once before… please re-read them. It points out the idiocy and deceit in not only their practices but the practices of all ADA Minion.

My first post regarding Joslin “ADA Minions Diabetes Myths” – if you do not believe Joslin harms millions of diabetics with their ‘advice’ … read this post.

Here’s the second post “Joslin Harming Diabetics” … after a great deal of prodding … a representative told me …..

“Carbohydrates should make up no more than 40% of total daily requirements, with 30% typically coming from protein and 30% from fats.”

For those that may not know the formula… on a 2,000 calorie diet, 40% of carbs = 200 grams of carbs. This carb level is high enough to keep someone on drugs and insulin for life…

Before Joslin followed me on Twitter,  I’d all but forgotten about them, so I do appreciate them following me.  It was a nice reminder.

  1. Wow. Joslin’s “Diabetes myths” is stunningly awful. I do hope they’re following you.

Off-topic request: Could you possibly change your RSS feed to full posts? I read your blog because I like the material, but I read in an RSS feed and sometimes I have to admit I’m too lazy to click through. Now I realize you might want to track clicks on the website, but I think ultimately what you want is more readers, and full RSS feeds will get you that, I think. Another argument: all your “mentors” that I follow, e.g. Free the Animal, have full RSS feeds :)

    1. Thanks for the reply. My ultimate goal is to increase readership… the clicks will come. I thought it was a way for a reader to gauge the ‘read worthiness’ before clicking and reading the entire post…

I think this setting was the ‘default’… I’m not sure how to change it but will investigate.. Thanks again. :)
