"Diabetes Drugs and Pancreatic Cancer". Why do most diabetics who still take these drugs not know the cancer risk? ... because their 'highly trained, well paid' doctors and diabetes educators do not tell them.

How did I know? ... I read diabetes news routinely. If your 'job' was to stay current... and to inform diabetics... wouldn't you?

Recent Discussion with a Type 2 : I was talking to a diabetic couple of days ago... I mentioned that we should not take drugs needlessly and I used Januvia as an example. I mentioned that it was linked to cancer.

The person said almost boastfully: "My doctor had me on Januvia but he took me off it.

Me: "What drug are you taking now""

Person: "Janumet"

Me: "Janumet is a combination of Januvia and Metformin ... you are still taking Januvia" ... people are sheeple.

Stop the INSANITY!!! Do NOT take drugs NEEDLESSLY!!!

If you are NOT eating a low carb paleo meal plan ... I'm betting the effects are far more 'reaching' than just these two areas.

You should read the article in it's entirety but here are a few interesting quotes:

"A number of studies have suggested that hormone-disrupting chemicals, such as bisphenol A, phthalates, and certain pesticides, are interfering with the way our bodies produce the blood-sugar-regulating hormone insulin... "

"The group also found enough evidence to support a link between obesity and arsenic, a heavy metal that winds up in drinking water as well as apple juice, and persistent organic pollutants (POPs), a class of chemicals that includes toxic compounds such as DDT and PCBs. Less clear was the obesity/diabetes link between bisphenol A (BPA), a chemical used in plastics, canned food, and cash-register receipts, and pesticides."

Lastly, here are some suggestions on how to reduce some inflammatory agents. Again... I urge you to read the entire article. :)

Protect yourself from any of these potential "obesogens" with a few simple tips:

• Go organic to avoid pesticides.
• Ditch plastic as much as you can, particularly in your kitchen. Opt for glass or stainless steel containers and cookware, and never microwave food in plastic.
• Keep yourself away from BPA by nixing canned food from your diet and never buying plastics marked with the "#7" in the recycling triangle. Also, try to keep receipts out of your wallet; store them in a separate envelope or plastic bag. BPA is used as a coating

Summary

I do believe my success in maintaining non-diabetic normal blood sugars is due to reducing carbs (especially grains, sugars) but also in reducing my 'total inflammation'. I urge you to read the resources below and attempt to reduce inflammation as much as possible. No, we will never be able to reduce inflammation totally. Much of it is out of our control but we should take steps to reduce those things we can control.

Additional Resources

Diabetes-Warrior.net "Inflammation - Causes and Detection"
MarksDailyApple.com "Are Canned Foods Safe"

As you read this post ... ask yourself, "Why does the ADA and their Minions push a high carb diet?".

The American Diabetes Ass. pushes a low fat, high carb, grain based meal plan for diabetics. I've been told over and over again ... they do this to protect 'heart health'. Now personally, I believe a 'national organ.' whose mission is to protect diabetics ... should be worried about high blood sugar.

Those who know the truth know ...

1) Saturated Fats from animals and plants (coconut and palm oils) are heart healthy. Click here for a post on the subject.

2) High Blood Sugar damages you body's cells ...which include all the organs of course.
