Battle of the Diets

Many studies show low carb paleo benefits diabetics. This post shines the light on one such study. What makes this study interesting? The person conducting the study, Dr. Gardner is a life-long vegetarian with a PhD in Nutrition.  Low Carb Paleo can…

  • improve glucose control
  • help with weight loss
  • improve health markers

In the study, Dr. Gardner compared various diets, including ‘low carb’. Warning: Low Carb today can mean many things, including highly processed junk food with sugar alcohols, vegetable oils and other highly processed ingredients.

meats and veggies

I use ‘low carb paleo‘ to differentiate my meal plan from much of the highly processed ‘low carb foods’ of today.  The low carb, real foods I eat today are similar to Dr. Atkin’s original induction plan.

Let Them Eat Cake

“Let Them Eat Cake”  was a phrase allegedly used when Marie Antoionette heard the peasants did not have bread to eat.

The phrase was originally meant to show the shallow, callousness of the French aristocracy. I have used this phrase in Twitter and on various American Diabetes Association (ADA) diet groups highlighting those very same traits when discussing the American Diabetes Association’s diabetes diet.

The Medical Industry  (including the ADA) doesn’t care about treating diabetes, they only care about treating the symptoms of diabetes with drugs, insulin and medical services.

There are many studies showing the benefits of a low carb paleo diet for diabetics and weight loss, why the Medical Industry and the ADA continue pushing a, “Let them eat cake.” approach is appalling.

Battle of the Diets Study

A 25 yr Vegetarian, whose entire family was vegetarian conducted a diet study and he just so happens to be a professor of Nutrition at Stanford. The results???

The case for low-carbohydrate diets is gaining weight. Christopher Gardner, PhD, assistant professor of medicine at the Stanford Prevention Research Center, has completed the largest and longest-ever comparison of four popular diets using real-world conditions, which he discusses – the lowest-carbohydrate Atkins diet came out on top.

Do YOU realize what this MEANS?  Dr. Gardner who,  if he were going to bias a study, would bias it against LOW CARB, actually found the low carb diet is the BEST.

Low Carb Paleo benefits diabetics for many reasons but chief among them is improved glucose control!

This is PROFOUNDLY important to the Low Carb “world” and it speaks volumes for the integrity of Dr. Gardner.  Gee, I wonder why this link isn’t on the American Diabetes Ass. website?? If Big Pharma and the Medical Industry cares for us, why don’t they show this video? After all, they only make drugs to help people, right?

The video is 76 mins long… so be prepared. I urge you to watch the entire video but if you are strapped for time, the most interesting section begins at approximately the 45 minute mark. ENJOY!

Pro Low Carb Paleo Study

Studies like the one in this post show low carb paleo is best…

  • NOT only for Blood Glucose control
  • NOT only for weight loss
  • But for heart health as well.

Low Carb Paleo benefits many ailments, diseases and conditions

For every study I could show you promoting the benefits of a Low Carb Paleo diet, you can show me an equal number of studies touting the benefits of a low fat, high carb, grain based diet

Believe me or not… many studies are biased.
